I loved my time at Metro. I had a lot of experiences to play music. I was able to learn to teach, play, and arrange music with professionals in the industry. I felt like my time there really prepared me for my teaching career.

I had a lot of experiences to grow and learn as a teacher at Pennock. I worked there during the Pandemic and got really good at using SeeSaw and Google Classroom to help me teach music remotely. This was my first experience in a classroom and I was able to grow my classroom management skills and build relationships with students.

I love teaching band here at Kearney. I have learned a lot about my teaching style and making relationships with students. The students have learned and grown so much as musicians, and I cannot wait to see what my future looks like here.

Since I started at Kearney I made it a mission of mine to make sure that my students have a smooth transition into high school. To help with that goal I help out with the high school marching band. I accompany the band to competitions and help them during the rehearsals.

[ Mile High Freedom Band ]

I am the current flute section leader for the Wind Ensemble of the Mile High Freedom Band. We are a local LGBQIA+ community band that accepts all musicians regardless of skill. I have been with the band almost 10 years and love the community and love I have experienced from playing with the Winds and Marching ensembles.

[ MHFB Flute Choir] 

Currently I am also playing in the MHFB flute choir. I collaborate with other musicans in the process of making music together.

[NAfME] 

I am a current member if the National Association for Music Education. I go to at least one music educators conferece a year. This way I am able to find different and more effective ways of teaching music.
